This trip is a unique opportunity to
explore the traditional desert and mountain
cultures present in the incredibly diverse
Ras Al Khaimah Emirate.
This is a three-day, two-night trip
that will test your ability to go on
longer drive and be a modern-day explorer.
The first day is dedicated to discovering
the Bedouin habitat dominated by sand
and tall dunes, visiting camel farms,
and, finally, setting up a traditional
bivouac. The second day sees you making
your way up the rocky hills of the Hajjar
mountains and entering tribal Shihi
lands. Wadi (rocky river beds) and gravel
tracks offer breathtaking scenery and
can be quite a challenge to any driver.
Leaving the cars, you walk up to Mountain
Extreme’s base camp, an eagle’s
nest perched at over 4,000 ft above
sea level. This
is a unique opportunity to explore
the traditional way of life of two
co-existing groups that share the
barren Arab peninsula. It’s
also an opportunity for you to drive
in two radically different environments:
rock and desert.
