Pulleys

• Petzl Oscillante - AED 95 - swing side pulley, Nylon sheave and aluminum side plates give a high strength to weight ratio. For use on rope of maximum diameter 13 mm, Breaking strength : 8 kN x 2 = 16 kN, weighs 55g.

• SMC Crevasse Rescue - AED 85- Tests to greater strengths than other pulleys in the same range of size and price. It has the required Prussik minding capability for use in 3-to-1 Z-systems (which means it makes it easier to haul up heavy stuff without popping a vein, or to lower heavy stuff without dropping it!). A smooth running 1.25'' nylon sheave runs on a zinc-coated axle, and the color-contrasting aluminum side plates rotate for easy rope insertion and removal. Weighs 64g and is tested for 27kN.

Single aluminum sheave - Light load

• Petzl Fixe - AED 145 - Aluminum sheave and fixed side plates makes this an upgrade over the Oscillante, Lightweight compact the Fixe is small enough to be used as a redirect or in any other mechanical system. Breaking strength : 11 kN x 2 = 22 kN, for ropes up to 13mm and weighs 90g.

Look no further than the new TR Pulley. Few if any other pulleys of comparable size and price range manage to deliver this level of performance and reliability. Despite its diminutive size the TR Pulley can handle full-sized work loads. The bell-shaped top hole allows the carabiner to be rotated freely and completely. A durable aluminum sheave is paired with a true Oilite Bearing on a zinc-coated axle for reliable performance at a reasonable cost. Oilite Bearings are self-lubricating and highly wear and corrosion resistant. Prussik Minding pulleys

• SMC Micro PMP, single - AED 175 - NFPA "L" rated. Aluminum sheave and sideplates, ball bearing construction for smooth operation. Wide base allows for maximum use of a prussik hitch and the oversized bell shaped top allows for the use of 2 carabiners. Breaking load is 22kN and weighs 100g.

• SMC 2'' Prusik Minding Pulley, single AED 250 - NFPA G rated - all aluminum construction (sheave and sideplates). Weighs 180g breaking load is 43kN

• SMC 3" Prussik minding Pulley, single - AED 355 - NFPA "G" rated. All aluminum construction with sealed ball bearings for smooth operations even when loads are misaligned - this pulley has been the benchmark for 30 years in the field of high angle rescue. Precise sideplate adjustment minimizes misalignment and snagging. Used for mechanical advantage systems as well high-lines, Tyrolean traverse and progress capture. • Yates Mountain Lite pulley, single - AED 290 - NFPA G rated - true 2" sheave for maximum efficiency. All aluminum construction, weighs 180g and breaking strength is 36kN.

Traverse pulley

• Petzl Tandem Speed - AED 350 - Designed for use on slightly inclined Tyrolean traverses, on cable or rope. In-line double pulley with stainless-steel sheaves fitted with ball bearings. May be used at speeds of up to 20 meters/second. Breaking strength : 24 kN, For use on cable (12 mm maximum diameter) and on rope (13 mm maximum diameter). Weighs 270 g

• Petzl Rescue - AED 325 - Swing sided all aluminum construction. Designed for heavy loads and Tyrolean traverse. Triangular attachment point can accept up to three carabiners. Breaking strength : 16 kN x 2 = 32 kN, weighs 186g for use with ropes up to 13mm.

Single aluminum sheave - Knot Passing

• SMC Kootenay HX knot passing pulley - AED 785 - Aluminum side plates are used in conjunction with a high-strength aluminum sheave. Sealed ball bearings provide optimal efficiency and help to reduce the performance-robbing resistance that is inherent in most multiple component systems. The primary carabiner hole accepts numerous rescue carabiners. Secondary carabiner holes are provided for use with tag or belay lines. Two quick-release pins may be used in order “lock off” the sheave when a high strength tie-off is required. Adding to its versatility, the Kootenay HX may also serve as an edge roller for rope protection.
